One of my most favorite TV and movie story lines involving jewelry, is the Empress Carlotta’s Necklace episode from the Dick Van Dyke Show. Rob buys Laura a replica of Empress Carlotta’s Necklace, and presents it to her as a surprise gift. She hates it. I first saw this episode sometime in the mid 1990’s and thought this necklace was fabulous and wondered, where could I get one like it? And I still love this necklace.
